The Vice President of Claims leads Aimbridge's Workers' Compensation and Liability Claims programs with a focus on strategy, cost control, and stronger claim outcomes. This role guides a lean claims team, partners across the business, and drives practices that reduce risk and long-term insurance costs.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree preferred; 8-10 years of progressive risk management or claims leadership experience.
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation and liability claims across multi-state, multi-site environments.
- Hospitality, real estate, or multi-site operations experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence outcomes, and manage complex or high-severity claims.
- Strong legal, regulatory, analytical, financial, RMIS, and incident reporting expertise.
- Executive communication skills with sound judgment, discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Workers' Compensation Leadership - Lead the Workers' Compensation program and team, driving early return-to-work, claim closure, and reduced indemnity exposure.
- Manage cost mitigation, claim trends, reserves, compliance, and reporting to improve outcomes across jurisdictions.
- Partner with TPAs, legal, HR, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective claim handling, including complex leave and accommodation matters.
Liability Claims Oversight - Oversee liability claims programs, including General Liability, Auto Liability, and other casualty exposures across the portfolio.
- Lead investigation, evaluation, litigation, and resolution strategy in partnership with the Liability Claims Manager, TPAs, legal counsel, and carriers.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-severity claims, coverage disputes, settlements, and KPI reporting.
Claims Strategy & Cost Management - Oversee claims governance, authority levels, and quality assurance reviews across Workers' Compensation and liability programs.
- Use claim analytics, dashboards, and reporting to track performance, trends, and financial impact.
- Improve incident and claim data capture to support more accurate analytics and benchmarking.
Risk & Program Development - Lead claims-driven initiatives to improve safety, operations, and loss outcomes.
- Partner with safety and operations to identify root causes and address key loss drivers.
- Use claims insights to support prevention strategies, training, and operating procedures.
TPA & Carrier Management - Support insurance program strategy by providing loss analysis, claim trend reporting, and advocacy during renewals.
- Maintain productive relationships with insurance carriers, third party administrators, defense counsel, and brokers to drive improved claim outcomes and service standards.
Leadership & Governance - Lead, develop, and hold the claims team accountable for performance and growth.
- Ensure compliant, ethical, and consistent claims practices across the organization.
- Report claim performance, trends, and financial impact to leadership and ownership.
