Job Overview

The Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Professional Development serves as a member of the School of Health Leadership Team and provides strategic leadership for the School's portfolio of graduate academic programs, executive education offerings, and professional development initiatives. The Vice Dean is responsible for ensuring academic excellence, program quality, operational effectiveness, and market responsiveness across all graduate and professional education offerings.

Work Interactions

Working closely with the Dean, Department Chairs, Program Directors, faculty, and university partners, the Vice Dean advances the School's growth strategy through the development of innovative academic programs, micro-credentials, customized executive education, and other offerings that address emerging workforce and market needs. The position also plays a central role in strengthening student success, fostering community, and enhancing alumni engagement across the School's graduate and professional education ecosystem.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in higher education, business administration, public health, health administration or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience leading graduate academic programs, executive education initiatives, or professional development programs in higher education or a comparable setting.
  • Experience developing and launching new academic programs, certificates, or workforce development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of enrollment management, program assessment, accreditation, and higher education administration.
  • Experience working within complex organizational structures and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$80,429.00 - $157,238.93

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
