Full Job Description
The Veterinary Services Manager is a key member of the Zoetis Cattle & Equine Veterinary Services Team who provides outstanding veterinary medical support to our veterinary customers, aligning with our strategic direction and business objectives. This role will support our Cattle & Equine portfolios by managing and documenting adverse event reports and providing customer-facing field support, primarily for beef cattle.

The role proactively identifies trends in the veterinary medicine industry and contributes to discussions on business impact and strategic direction. The Veterinary Services Manager upholds and enhances the scientific and professional image of Zoetis within the veterinary profession. The successful candidate will be a supportive team player, be highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and have a strong sense of self awareness. Attention to detail, as well as strong communication and conflict management skills are key.

This position is located in Western Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinary practices with case discussion and product inquiries
  • Investigate, document, and facilitate resolution of product inquiries, complaints and suspected adverse events to meet regulatory requirements and to optimize customer satisfaction
  • Provide medical and scientific information to develop and sustain a highly competent business team and to ensure well-informed customers
  • Support the sales team through consultation and customer education, including account planning and execution
  • Manage, document and track customer support initiatives such as the Quality Medicine Program, Immune Support Guarantee, etc
  • Liaise with opinion leaders, key influencers, and academics to exchange information and cultivate external resources for Zoetis
  • Attend select veterinary and professional organization meetings and seminars to develop and enhance personal and Zoetis Veterinary Operations expertise
  • Contribute to the Veterinary Operations team to ensure consensus on scientific and medical topics to meet business objectives


Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
  • Current General Practice full licensure within British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba
  • 5 years of relevant clinical experience with a focus on cattle & equine
  • Ability to interpret scientific and medical information
  • Effective technical writing, public speaking and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent judgement in conflict management and negotiation
  • Planning and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
  • Ability to travel throughout Western Canada - 30%

Le souci du détail, ainsi que de solides aptitudes en communication et en gestion de conflits, sont essentiels.

Responsabilités
  • Aider les cliniques vétérinaires lors de discussions de cas et de demandes d'information sur les produits
  • Enquêter, documenter et faciliter la résolution des demandes d'information, plaintes et événements indésirables soupçonnés afin de respecter les exigences réglementaires et d'optimiser la satisfaction de la clientèle
  • Fournir de l'information médicale et scientifique afin de développer et maintenir une équipe d'affaires hautement compétente et d'assurer une clientèle bien informée
  • Soutenir l'équipe des ventes par la consultation et l'éducation de la clientèle, incluant la planification et l'exécution des comptes
  • Gérer, documenter et faire le suivi d'initiatives de soutien à la clientèle
  • Assurer la liaison avec des leaders d'opinion, des influenceurs clés et des universitaires afin d'échanger de l'information et de développer des ressources externes pour Zoetis
  • Participer à certaines réunions et à des séminaires d'organisations vétérinaires et professionnelles afin de développer et renforcer l'expertise, personnelle et celle de Zoetis, en Opérations vétérinaires
  • Contribuer à l'équipe des Opérations vétérinaires afin d'assurer un consensus sur les sujets scientifiques et médicaux pour atteindre les objectifs d'affaires


Exigences
  • Doctorat en médecine vétérinaire (DMV)
  • Permis d'exercice en pratique générale en règle (pleine licence) en Colombie-Britannique, Alberta, Saskatchewan ou Manitoba
  • 5 ans d'expérience clinique pertinente, avec un accent sur les bovins et les équins
  • Capacité d'interpréter de l'information scientifique et médicale
  • Excellentes compétences en rédaction technique, en prise de parole en public et en communication
  • Solides compétences en leadership et en développement de relations
  • Capacité de travailler en équipe et de façon autonome
  • Excellent jugement en gestion de conflits et en négociation
  • Compétences en planification et en organisation, avec un grand souci du détail
  • Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est un atout
