Full Job Description
Mukilteo Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Hospital Manager who is an emotionally intelligent, business-savvy leader with a passion for servant leadership and team development. We're seeking someone who can successfully lead a diverse team, build trust and accountability, coach future leaders, and create a positive, high-performing culture while driving operational excellence and sustainable business growth.

In this role, you'll partner with the Medical Director to oversee all aspects of hospital operations-from financial performance and workflow optimization to team engagement, client experience, and strategic planning. You'll empower your team to succeed, navigate competing priorities with confidence, and help position the hospital for continued growth and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
  • Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
  • Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
  • Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Schedule, benefits and compensation**:
  • This is a full-time, salaried position and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs.
  • Compensation: $80,500-90,000 annual base salary*
  • Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance
  • Hiring bonus package: Up to $2000 based on experience and credentials
