About the Job

Are you passionate about practicing high-quality medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment? Do you want a flexible schedule and the ability to pursue your interests both in and out of veterinary medicine? Are you looking to rediscover the reasons you became a veterinarian?

If so, Newberry Animal Hospital (NAH) in beautiful North Central Florida, is the perfect place for you. As a privately owned small animal practice group with four hospitals and twelve veterinarians in North Central Florida, we are currently seeking a Full Associate Veterinarian with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team.

We are also excited to connect with DVMs who are seeking ownership opportunities. If you've ever dreamed of running your own practice, we offer a pathway to leadership without the burden of managing the daily administrative aspects of the business. At Newberry Animal Hospital, we support veterinarians who want to take on a leadership role, focus on practicing high-quality medicine, and help guide the direction of their practice, all while leaving the operational logistics to a dedicated administrative team.

Job Details:

  • At NAH, you'll experience the benefits of working in a large, well-organized practice without the restrictions of corporate medicine.
  • Our focus is on providing high-quality care, supported by a well-trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment such as ultrasound, digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, and a Companion Laser, among others.
  • We offer a wide range of services, including acupuncture and advanced soft tissue surgery.
  • We encourage our veterinarians to pursue their individual passions and expand their skills, whether in surgery, integrative medicine, ultrasound, exotics, emergency medicine, or other areas that excite and challenge them.

Our practice is built on a foundation of strong core values. We approach the challenges of veterinary medicine with courage and optimism, and we are deeply committed to our staff, our clients, and our patients. At NAH, your growth and success are our priority, and we aim to help you develop both your veterinary and leadership skills to thrive in your career.

We provide a competitive salary with a pro-sal incentive program and no negative accrual. Our generous benefits package includes medical and dental coverage, continuing education opportunities, paid time off, and a matching IRA. In addition, we offer a flexible schedule so you can enjoy life outside of veterinary medicine and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Gainesville, Florida, is a vibrant college town with a small-town feel. With year-round outdoor activities, cultural events hosted by the University of Florida, and a strong school and healthcare system, Gainesville is an ideal place for young professionals and families. We are also looking to expand around the North Central Florida area. The Atlantic and Gulf beaches are also just a short drive away.

At Newberry Animal Hospital, you'll find a workplace where you are valued and supported, with opportunities to grow and develop both personally and professionally. This is a place to build lasting relationships with patients, clients, and colleagues-a place where learning never stops. At NAH, the sky's the limit.
