Mission of the Role
As a Vessel Cleaning Oversight Team Leader
You will lead and supervise vessel cleaning operations while ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards. Provide leadership, training, and operational oversight to field crews, ensuring job safety, efficiency, and service excellence while supporting Pro-Vac's commitment to maintaining essential infrastructure. What you'll love to do:
  • Ensure all company, customer, and regulatory protocols and policies are followed, including OSHA, DOT, and confined space entry regulations while participating in safety meetings, hazard identification (complete daily JHA), and adherence to best practices. Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure 100% completion of daily vehicle inspections in Samsara. Oversee basic preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment, including Hydrovac trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Supervise daily vessel cleaning, ensuring tasks are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with customer expectations. Ensure 100% completion of required paperwork and documentation daily in Service Titan
  • Maintain professionalism and clear communication with customers to ensure service expectations are met, proactively addressing concerns, providing updates, and reinforcing trust through reliable service execution.
  • Achieve 100% compliance with assigned training deadlines in KPA or other safety training systems and carry required certifications, including a valid medical card and any job-specific credentials.

What You Bring:
  • Class B CDL with a tanker endorsement (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in vessel cleaning, industrial cleaning, or hydro-excavation.
  • 1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of confined space entry, H₂S hazards, and OSHA/DOT regulations.
  • Ability to work in hazardous environments, including H₂S exposure, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of diesel truck operations, hydraulics, and vacuum system mechanics.
  • Commitment to DOT compliance & safety regulations, following OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols, including respirator fit requirements (clean-shaven policy).

  • Lead Vessel Cleaning - Supervise teams, ensure safety, and oversee operations.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance - Enforce OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
  • Oversee Equipment Maintenance - Ensure inspections, troubleshooting, and issue reporting.
  • Customer Communication - Provide updates, maintain professionalism, and complete reports.
  • Train & Develop Team - Mentor operators, enforce training deadlines, and provide feedback.
  • Work in Hazardous Environments - Follow protocols for confined spaces and hazardous gas areas.
  • Maintain PPE Compliance - Enforce respirator fit-testing and clean-shaven policies.
  • Adapt to Travel & Remote Work - Work in remote locations, staying in camps/hotels as needed.
  • Perform General Labor - Use hand tools, set up containment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Foster Teamwork - Communicate with managers, safety personnel, and crew.
  • Travel - Based in Midland, TX with regional travel
