Full Job Description

As a Vertical Sales Specialist assigned to a defined district or multiple districts, your role focuses on driving profitable revenue within a specific product, application, or vertical customer segment. You are responsible for growing revenue from assigned accounts in partnership with local territory Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs). Your contributions will be pivotal in achieving revenue growth, fostering technical expertise, and ensuring the success of key accounts and projects within your vertical focus.

What you’ll do:

  • Promote the total value proposition of Trench Safety

  • Coordinate large projects with technical complexity that present opportunities for utilizing the full scope of Trench Safety offerings.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the product or vertical, providing training, leadership, and mentorship to OSRs in collaboration with District Sales Managers (DSMs) and District Managers (DMs).

  • Drive active account performance and mitigating cyclical market fluctuations within assigned districts.

  • Collaborate closely with the Field Sales team to identify projects with Trench Safety opportunity. Utilization of SFDC entering, tracking and closing related project opportunities.

  • Attend pre-bid meetings, representing company by working closely with contractors bidding work.

  • Attend pre-construction meetings to communicate project details and “hand off” project to Sales/Operations. Submittal of System Solutions to bidding contractors. Close win opportunities in Construction assigned Vertical Markets.

  • Mentor OSRs on Trench Safety Solution Offerings. Liaison between OSR and Engineering and between Customer and Sales/Operations.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Minimum of 7 years sales and/or sales and operations management experience in Trench Safety products and applications

  • Engineering Solutions experience where applicable

  • Proficiency in understanding OSHA standards, tabulated data and product applications

  • Familiarity with industry verticals and adeptness in navigating customer relationships within these sectors

  • Understanding of business accounting principles and P&L profitability; business acumen

  • Skilled communicator-written and verbal

  • Ability to effectively train, motivate and influence all levels of the sales/management organization

  • Up to 50% overnight travel required

  • Exposure to industrial environment, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes

Compensation Range:

$107,190.00 - $176,860.00
