Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead triage and resolution of vehicle-related field, warranty, and assembly issues; define containment actions and drive to closure
  • Own structured problem solving with suppliers and internal teams, including 8D/5-Why root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness
  • Partner with internal assembly to address build issues, improve workmanship/DFM, and update work instructions as needed
  • Drive design and process improvements based on recurring failure modes, cost of quality, and customer feedback
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication (Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Operations, Aftersales) and provide clear status updates, risks, and next steps
  • Manage engineering changes from concept through implementation (documentation, release, supplier alignment, and production cut-in)
  • Maintain accurate BOMs and parts/technical documentation; ensure alignment between engineering releases, ERP/PLM data, and parts manuals
  • Support validation/testing activities as needed (fit/function checks, failure analysis, and confirmation testing for corrective actions)
  • Provide engineering and design support for golf cart and subsystems and assist with concept evaluation, design reviews, and feasibility assessments
  • Ensure golf cart design activities align with applicable safety, regulatory, and quality standards

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product engineering/manufacturing engineering/quality engineering within PTV/golf carts, powersports, automotive, or a related vehicle/equipment industry
  • Demonstrated success leading root-cause analysis and corrective actions in a production environment (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys)
  • Experience working directly with suppliers on issue resolution, corrective action follow-up, and ongoing quality improvement
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications; strong documentation discipline
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills; able to manage multiple priorities and drive closure

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience supporting overseas suppliers (Asia preferred), including remote issue resolution and corrective action validation
  • Familiarity with change control processes (ECR/ECO) and BOM/PLM data integrity
  • Hands-on assembly/production support experience; comfortable working in shop/lab environments

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with regular time in the engineering lab and shop/assembly environment. Occasional domestic and international travel is needed to support supplier
