Description

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a VDC Manager who is passionate about using technology to improve project outcomes and enjoys collaborating with project teams throughout the construction process. To be successful in this role, you should bring hands-on experience leading or significantly contributing to BIM/VDC efforts on vertical construction projects, with strong proficiency in tools such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). You'll thrive here if you're confident driving 3D coordination, facilitating collaboration across stakeholders, and solving complex construction challenges through technology. If this experience aligns with your background and you're excited to help deliver remarkable projects, we'd love to hear from you.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

BIM/VDC Coordination & Project Delivery

  • Lead the BIM/VDC coordination process from preconstruction through construction, ensuring alignment with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BxPs) and project goals.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain federated 3D models that support coordination of site, underground utilities, MEP/FP systems, building envelope, and self-perform scopes.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings with design partners and trade partners, proactively identifying and resolving clashes, constraints, and constructability challenges.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure coordination outcomes are effectively implemented in the field and contribute to successful project delivery.

Collaboration & Technology Leadership

  • Serve as the primary BIM/VDC resource for project teams, providing guidance, training, and support to field staff, office teams, design partners, and trade partners.
  • Collaborate with surveying and construction teams to ensure model-based layouts and field execution align with coordinated project models.
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of new BIM, VDC, and construction technology solutions that improve project outcomes.

Planning, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and manage project coordination schedules, helping teams achieve key coordination milestones and project objectives.
  • Track and communicate BIM/VDC progress, budget impacts, risks, and resource needs to project and VDC leadership.
  • Contribute to the advancement of BIM/VDC best practices through knowledge sharing, training initiatives, and participation in industry organizations and events.

YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a BIM and/or VDC-focused role within the commercial construction industry.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or leading 3D coordination efforts across project teams, trades, and design partners.
  • Proficiency with BIM technologies such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, design and construction workflows, and coordination across building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related trades).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret plans, specifications, and BIM models to support integrated project delivery and successful coordination outcomes.
  • Experience with Design-Build, Design Assist, and/or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) projects is preferred.
