Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and maintain detailed mechanical system models using Revit and Fabrication CADmep based on architectural and structural design documents.
- Create and manage ITM and RFA content, ensuring the fabrication and Revit libraries are accurate, clean, and aligned with company standards.
- Collaborate with the BIM team to maintain and support the fabrication database, including service templates, fabrication profiles, costing data, and labor tables.
- Attend and participate in BIM coordination meetings to support BIM team members in their work, resolving clashes and ensuring models reflect coordinated designs.
- Work closely with other BIM team members to ensure model quality, schedule alignment, and project readiness.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM tools, workflows, and content standards.
- Liaise with Field Leadership, Fabrication, and Operations to align digital design with real-world execution.
- Conduct constructability reviews and ensure compliance with project standards and installation best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and content standardization.
- Contribute to project planning and coordination by advising on model-based approaches and preconstruction workflows.
- Serve as a collaborative partner-not a direct supervisor-to support team cohesion and peer development.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of VDC experience with demonstrated hands-on work in Revit and Fabrication tools.
- Strong mechanical background, preferably in HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
- Experience with constructability, layout planning, and system routing.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (IPC,SMACNA,ASME,etc.).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Positive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical Platform Knowledge (Demonstrated Fluency Expected):
- Autodesk Revit
- Autodesk Navisworks
- CAMduct and/or Fabrication CADmep
- Bluebeam
- ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Familiarity with fabrication profile setup, costing, and labor tables.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus Items):- Experience with Stratus.
- Field experience in HVAC systems and/or plumbing.
- Master's license in one or more trades (HVAC mechanical and/or plumbing).
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Dynamo for basic coding experience for tool automation in Revit.
Work Environment/Expectations:
- This is primarily an in-office position.
- No more than 20% of the expected hours may be performed remotely.
- Some travel to job sites may be required as business needs dictate.
