Position Summary:Meade is seeking an experienced
VDC Coordinator Lead to manage project VDC/BIM processes, leads teams, develop execution strategies, train and mentor staff, and ensures model accuracy, bridging technology with project goals for complex builds, focusing on coordination, clash detection, and implementing best practices from throughout the project life cycle. The
VDC Coordinator Lead improves project efficiency, coordination, and visualization by leading clash detection, ensuring model accuracy, providing technical training to Modeler/Drafters and bridging communication between design teams to minimize errors and streamline workflows. They implement VDC strategies, create project execution plans, and oversee model development throughout all phases of a project, ensuring quality and adherence to standards. This role will manage project scope, schedule and budgets related to VDC.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary BIM/VDC point person, managing VDC support for multiple projects, and leading teams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), adhering to company standards.
- Create and manage federated models (Navisworks), ensuring content from all disciplines (Arch, Struct, MEP) is integrated and clashes are identified and resolved.
- Lead clash detection meetings, facilitate internal/external reviews, and ensure alignment with design intent and project goals.
- Provide advanced support, troubleshooting model issues (especially MEP/FP), and support field layout processes.
- Conduct periodic reviews of VDC processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing new processes. Drive innovation, implement new technologies, and enhance current VDC workflows.
- Prepare meeting minutes, track changes, and manage RFI processes related to BIM.
- Model maintenance and quality control of all Meade models.
- Oversee multiple complex projects or large portfolios.
- Contribute to regional or national VDC strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:- 4+ years of experience in VDC/BIM coordination within the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in VDC/BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, construction means, methods, MEP systems, and other relevant tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation & Benefits:This position is available to candidates residing in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, FL, GA, IN, MI, MO, NV, OH, OK, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV. Compensation and benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and may vary based on location and applicable laws. The pay range for this position will be provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
The estimate pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Virginia: $101,000-$130,000
- Washington: $106,000-$136,000
