Position Description: CGI is seeking a UX/UI Designer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting the design and delivery of scalable digital products and services.
In this role, you will help create intuitive, accessible, and human-centered digital experiences by designing interfaces, interactions, and user flows based on user and business needs. You will collaborate with product, design and development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, from research and concept development through prototyping and production-ready design.
Your future duties and responsibilities: - Provide expertise and creative solutions for user interface, user experience, and digital service delivery initiatives.
- Apply established human-centered design approaches and methodologies throughout the design process.
- Plan and conduct design research, translating findings into actionable recommendations and design solutions.
- Develop user interfaces, interaction designs, information architectures, wireframes and functional prototypes across multiple levels of fidelity.
- Produce production-ready visual and interaction designs, including reusable components, design patterns, style guides and documented design specifications.
- Collaborate with agile, multidisciplinary teams and deliver iterative design components to development teams.
- Create and communicate user journeys, user stories, and product experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Identify and resolve UI and UX issues, including usability and responsive design challenges.
- Conduct usability testing, evaluate design effectiveness, and incorporate user feedback into design improvements.
- Apply web accessibility principles and support accessibility testing and remediation throughout the design process.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: - 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma.
- Demonstrated experience developing wireframes, functional mock-ups, and prototypes for web applications.
- Experience developing production-ready user interfaces, interaction designs, and information architectures.
- Experience working with human-centered design methodologies and conducting design research.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems, pattern libraries, reusable components, or style guides.
- Experience working in agile and multidisciplinary delivery environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead design demonstrations and clearly communicate design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of responsive design, usability, and digital accessibility principles, best practices, and implementation techniques.
- Ability to work primarily within Mountain Time business hours to support collaboration with the broader project team and stakeholder schedules.
- Public sector experience is an asset.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000-$140,000. This role is an existing vacancy / a future opportunity.
