Summary:

The Lead Utility Engineer is a member of the Facilities team responsible for leading Engineers and all Utilities related activities. The Lead develops maintenance procedures and schedules, manages shift transitions, and coordinates daily workload assignments. This role reviews performance data participates in leadership reviews and provides ongoing staff training and safety education. The Lead Utility Engineer maintains system and equipment records and assists with contractor oversight for major projects and renovations. This role operates, maintains, and repairs all utility systems from their point of origin and shares on-call responsibilities.

Experience & Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of relevant Plant Operations and general maintenance experience with demonstrated levels of progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Will consider relevant education in lieu of a portion of work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows environment.


Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

ONE of the following required:
  • Texas Plumbing license (Tradesman Plumber-Limited, Journeyman, Master, or Plumbing Inspector)
  • Texas Electrical license (Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Industrial Electrician, Journeyman Lineman, Maintenance Electrician, or Master Electrician).
  • Texas HVAC license (Certified Technician, Registered Technician, TDLR Class A, or TDLR Class B).
  • Universal EPA 608 certification.


Hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:30pm (This is an on-call position.)
