The Utilities & HVAC Engineer II role supports Lonza operations by ensuring that plant systems, equipment and facilities are designed and operating to meet the requirements for biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Support facilities/maintenance operations, system design engineering oversight, building automation systems, CAPEX planning, development and execution.

What you will do:
Apply systems engineering design competency (expertise) comprised of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVACR and automation disciplines.
Provide BAS system expertise across OT, IT and other departments to ensure Utility/HVACR and other system quality, reliability and operability.
Maintain facility plant operations, maintenance, reliability life cycles and technical standards development.
Develop of technical engineering standards and requirements.
Support troubleshooting and technical analysis on Utilities and HVAC equipment and processes including Automation, PI data analyses, system capacity analyses, MOC analyses, flow path analyses, etc.
Prioritize workload and ability to adapt to changing work requests that may include emergent events, audits and quality issues.
CAPEX planning, design review and execution oversight
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field) with 2-5 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
Proficient Utilities & HVACR systems engineering expertise (design-execution-operations).
Building Automation System (BAS) design, integration and operations.
System(s) reliability, process improvements and life-cycle operations.
System(s) quality, compliance and regulatory validation.
Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives.
Energy efficiency and sustainability projects.
