Full Job Description
USP Component Application Development & L3 Application Support (CLS US Services Inc., Iselin, NJ)

Assume end-to-end ownership of assigned application components within the CLS Unified Services Platform (USP), including integration of legacy, existing, and new applications into a unified platform; perform activities from initial design through development, delivery, and ongoing support. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Architects, Developers, Quality Assurance (QA), Engineering teams, and external vendors to support the design, development, testing, maintenance, and operation of application components. Assist and mentor onsite and offshore development team members and ensure adherence to the CLS Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) requirements. Plan and implement development activities and ensure completion of assigned delivery milestones. Support and improve business processes and contribute to critical business initiatives involving the Unified Services Platform. Develop technical solutions using standard design patterns, industry methodologies, and best practices, ensuring alignment with requirements for usability, performance, security, resiliency, and compatibility within financial applications. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system defects and deficiencies by implementing effective corrective actions. Participate in and contribute to requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and requirements traceability for functional and non-functional needs. Monitor industry trends and apply relevant knowledge to enhance internal development practices, tools, and processes. Provide Level-3 application support to internal teams, including providing guidance, training, and technical assistance to Level-2 support and other stakeholders. Telecommuting may be permitted as per organization's hybrid working guidelines. When not telecommuting, must report to CLS US Services, Inc., 101 Wood Ave South, 2nd Floor, Iselin, NJ 08830 Salary: $189,592-$204,300 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or U.S. equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation, job title, or position providing end-to-end application platform and service support.

Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience in developing C++ (11 or above) based applications. 5 years of professional experience developing and executing release and deployment plans, including monitoring, issue remediation, and environment support in a multi-tiered system architecture. 5 years of professional experience utilizing Python or Perl, and Unix shell scripting, SQL, and DBMS (including IBM or DB2). 5 years of professional experience maintaining and supporting level-3 production systems, including technical training, knowledge transfer, and escalation support for level-2 teams. 5 years of professional experience utilizing secure coding practices and securing applications, messaging middleware (including IBM MQ or TIBCO EMS) and application servers (including WebSphere or WebLogic). 5 years of professional experience utilizing CI/CD practices and DevOps toolsets (including JIRA, GIT, Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, or ServiceNow). 5 years of professional experience with application software delivery and maintenance within the Financial Services domain. 3 years of professional experience identifying, recognizing, and diagnosing system deficiencies and implementing effective remedial solutions to enhance system reliability and user satisfaction. 3 years of professional experience compiling, completing, and analyzing external and internal system capabilities including technical platforms, frameworks, and infrastructure and proposing and documenting prospective developments.
