Job PurposeAs an Infotainment UX Engineer you will conduct and utilize existing research to define and develop Infotainment solutions, features, and designs that satisfy customer needs and maintain competitiveness with the utmost quality.
At this career level, you are in charge of delivering defined UX assignments with guidance, while expanding the breadth of your technical knowledge.
Key Accountabilities - Research and report the user experience of current and future products, both in automotive and consumer electronics space.
- Analyze user research data to understand customers; needs and desires for infotainment systems (displays, information, interface, entertainment, features, controls, etc).
- Correlate and propose modifications to and/or new Infotainment solutions within assigned area of responsibility.
- Create feature and user interface specifications, under the guidance of more experienced engineers.
- Verify the correct implementation of specifications within assigned area of responsibility on test setups and vehicles.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills - Bachelors in Human Factors, Industrial Design, UX design, Engineering, Psychology or Product Development.
- Graduate; no professional experience necessary.
- Experience conducting user-centered research in educational and/or professional environment.
- Product Benchmarking.
- Experience with GUI prototyping preferred (Figma, Kanzi, etc).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to produce presentation documents.
Working Conditions - Working Environment - Partial remote work, Partial onsite work, minimal travel (
- Physical requirements - Majority of responsibilities require working at a computer or attending meetings in an office/test lab/remote environment. Some responsibilities require driving vehicle and outfitting vehicles with test equipment and/or replacing infotainment components.
- OT as needed to meet project deliverables - typical 0-15%.
