Role summary:
As a Staff Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, driving full lifecycle software development with a focus on cloud-native architecture and AI/ML integration. You will collaborate across teams to align technical solutions with business priorities, mentor engineering talent, and promote engineering excellence through rigorous design reviews and data-driven decision making. This role demands strong technical judgment, innovation, and adaptability to evolving technologies, ensuring high-quality, maintainable solutions that enhance developer productivity and support Walmart's strategic objectives.

Our team enhances transportation execution within the supply chain by enabling efficient load creation, tendering, and automation for Fleet and third-party carriers. We develop scalable, reliable software solutions that improve operational efficiency and support omnichannel growth. Leveraging technology and process innovation, the team drives cost optimization, increased visibility, and faster execution. Collaboration, continuous improvement, technical expertise, and a product-focused approach are central to delivering excellence. What you'll do:

What you'll bring:
  • Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to build scalable and resilient systems.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
