What you'll do...
Lead the design and delivery of production ML and GenAI/agentic systems that power merchant productivity and operational intelligence across Walmart's Pricing, Forecasting, Store Ops, Transportation, and Supply Chain domains. You'll set the technical direction for how we apply GenAI and core ML to drive measurable business impact at Walmart scale.

What you'll do:
  • Lead a team of applied scientists in developing innovative AI-driven solutions.
  • Build and ship GenAI applications using the latest agentic frameworks to automate merchant and operator workflows and unlock significant time savings.

  • Research and integrate state-of-the-art techniques across LLMs, agents, retrieval, and classical ML; mentor scientists and engineers and set the technical bar for the team.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into well-scoped, high-impact AI solutions.

What you'll bring:
  • 6+ years of Applied Scientist / MLE experience with a strong track record of shipping ML models to production in high-scale environments, ideally across multiple domains (pricing, forecasting, supply chain, ops).
  • Deep core ML/AI fundamentals (supervised, deep learning, time-series, causal/RCA) combined with heavy hands-on GenAI experience LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, evaluations, agent orchestration, tool use, and MCP.
  • Strong MLE and software engineering chops, production-grade Python, distributed systems, ML pipelines, CI/CD for ML, and model monitoring.
  • Experience with large-scale data systems (Spark/Hive) and cloud platforms (GCP / Azure).
  • Excellent communication and technical leadership skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive ambiguous projects from zero to production impact.
