Full Job Description
Position Summary...

What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Replenishment organization within Walmart Global Tech. You'll develop technologies, products, and services that enhance how buyers and suppliers communicate and manage product inventory across Walmart Stores, Fulfillment Centers and Distribution Centers. This may include developing new methods for tracking inventory, improving forecasting capabilities, or creating more efficient processes for fulfillment.

In this role, you will build and support applications that improve the experience of Walmart's commercialized offerings, while also leading a team of junior engineers to deliver high-quality products.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects by developing high-level designs in partnership with product management, project management, business stakeholders, and user experience teams; obtain cross-functional approvals.
  • Lead small engineering groups (4-6 engineers,) by providing documentation, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timelines; reviewing proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews.
  • Design and develop back-end solutions using technologies such as Java, Scala, Apache spark, Google cloud, Airflow, DataProc, BigQuery and no-sql databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB etc.


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Demonstrated strong expertise in Programing languages such as Java/Scala
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and improving applications and technical solutions.
  • Ability to provide expert guidance, support cross-functional alignment, and drive execution of action plans to meet customer and business needs.
  • Strong capability to build partnerships with key stakeholders, identify business needs, implement solutions, monitor progress, and adapt to evolving priorities and responsibilities.


Nice to Have
  • Exposure to Replenishment or Inventory systems and understanding of how they work.
  • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI development.
  • A passion for exploring technology outside of work.
  • Experience in Apache Spark and other big data technologies.
