The Senior Software Engineer will lead the delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions using multiple programming languages and modern development practices. The engineer will integrate AI/ML components, drive continuous improvement, and support operational excellence through proactive monitoring and debugging. Strong technical judgment, effective collaboration, and a product-driven mindset are essential to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that meet stakeholder needs and advance Walmart's technology goals.
About the team:
The Customer Engagement Services Technology team develops advanced customer service solutions impacting millions worldwide. It comprises software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts focused on innovative Generative AI applications within complex enterprise environments. As part of Walmart Global Tech's Enterprise Business Systems, the team collaborates closely with product, business, and UX partners to deliver measurable business value. Emphasizing scalable, secure, and maintainable software design, the team fosters continuous improvement and operational excellence to support Walmart's mission of helping customers save money and live better.
What you'll do:

  • Proven ability to deliver scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams using iterative and incremental development.
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, and DevOps monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML integration and generative AI tools to enhance software intelligence and development efficiency.
  • Demonstrated technical judgment in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
