The Senior Manager, Research Operations, leads the planning, execution, and completion of research studies in alignment with corporate and industry standards. This role drives operational excellence by managing resources, monitoring key performance indicators, and fostering effective communication across teams. The position involves developing innovative operational strategies, supporting continuous improvement, and mentoring associates to achieve study objectives on time. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to enhance efficiency and deliver business results while upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance within a dynamic research environment.

The WHRI research operations team is a focused group dedicated to advancing clinical research for patients in rural and underserved communities. Empowered to innovate, the team drives the planning, execution, and successful delivery of research studies that influence healthcare outcomes. Members collaborate closely to develop operational strategies, manage resources, and communicate progress effectively. This team fosters a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, contributing to the future of clinical operations within a retail environment. What you'll do:
  • Oversee all operational aspects of research study execution in compliance with corporate and industry standards.
  • Lead planning, recruiting, execution, and closing of research studies, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
  • Develop and monitor study plans and key performance indicators to assess progress and address issues.
  • Drive operational capabilities and resource management for decentralized trial solutions using Walmart data and infrastructure.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and development opportunities for associates to build a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify needs, remove obstacles, and adjust plans to optimize performance.
  • Promote adherence to company policies, ethics, and standards while supporting continuous learning and improvement.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in operations and project management within clinical or research environments.
  • Strong expertise in managing clinical trials and research study operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate internal and external stakeholders and resolve issues promptly.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, monitor key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in resource management, including team leadership, mentoring, and performance evaluation.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
