Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Procurement leads the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize category performance and drive cost efficiencies. This role oversees supplier relationships, negotiates complex contracts, and manages risk across local and global supply chains. By leveraging financial acumen and data-driven insights, the position ensures alignment with business objectives while fostering continuous improvement. The Senior Manager also mentors and develops team members, promotes compliance with company policies, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver sustainable value and operational excellence within a dynamic retail environment.
About the team:

This role leads Walmart's enterprise GNFR uniform sourcing programs, overseeing supplier strategy, product commercialization, inventory continuity, and cross-functional execution for associate apparel. Their work uniquely integrates procurement, product development, supplier governance, and operational execution to deliver large-scale apparel programs across the enterprise. The team applies category strategy, negotiation, supplier relationship management, financial acumen, and apparel manufacturing expertise to drive effective sourcing solutions. Collaborating across functions, they ensure seamless program delivery while managing risks and optimizing supplier performance to support Walmart's business goals.
What you'll do:
  • Drive execution of multiple procurement plans by identifying needs, removing obstacles, and adjusting performance to meet business goals.
  • Lead and develop procurement associates through mentoring, training, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
  • Develop and implement category strategies, identifying savings opportunities and optimizing supplier selection based on data and market trends.
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct business reviews, and mitigate risks to ensure contract compliance and cost efficiencies.
  • Utilize financial acumen to analyze total cost of ownership and support informed sourcing decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex problems and influence strategic procurement initiatives.

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in category strategy, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management within complex procurement environments.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to conduct advanced cost analyses, build business cases, and develop total cost of ownership models.
  • Proven negotiation skills to lead high-risk sourcing decisions and mitigate supplier-related risks effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, driving performance, and fostering continuous development and coaching.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
