What you'll do...
Role summary:

As the Senior Manager of Transformation & Tools - Inventory Flow, you will serve as the business owner for critical tools and platforms that power our Inventory Flow Optimization team. Operating within a cross-functional "4-in-the-box" model alongside Product, Engineering, and key stakeholders, you will define product requirements, shape roadmaps, and drive the development and adoption of tools that directly improve team performance and decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can translate complex business needs into practical, tech-enabled solutions, and enjoys building from the ground up.
About the team:

The Inventory Flow Optimization team bridges Merchandising strategy and Supply Chain execution to enhance inventory movement from supplier to member, focusing on cost, speed, and availability improvements. Within this team, the Transformation & Tools pillar supports enterprise-wide efficiency by developing reusable analytical capabilities and leveraging advanced tools.

This group drives measurable gains through data discovery, analytics, and automation, enabling informed decision-making and optimized business strategies. The team values strong project management and business intelligence skills to deliver impactful insights and support continuous improvement across operations.
What you'll do:
  • Own the Product Vision for Internal Tools & Enterprise Platforms: Act as the business owner within a cross-functional "4-in-the-box" model, defining requirements, prioritizing features, and shaping roadmaps for tools in partnership with Walmart
  • Build and Scale Data-Driven Solutions: Lead the development of in-house tools using AI, SQL, Power BI, and existing Walmart platforms to improve decision-making and reduce manual work
  • Drive Automation & Process Standardization: Design and implement scalable processes that streamline workflows, and standardize internal ways of working
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Product, Supply Chain, and Merchandising stakeholders across Sam's Club and Walmart to ensure alignment between business needs and technical execution.

What you'll bring:
  • Advanced analytics & data depth: Hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI / Tableau, and data pipeline design. You can build, not just specify
  • A product mindset: Experience building product requirements and driving development alongside Product and Engineering teams. You know how to translate business problems into technical specifications
  • Strong project management skills: You can run cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, keeping stakeholders aligned and timelines on track
  • A builder's mindset: You are comfortable creating structure in ambiguous environments and driving change from concept to execution
  • Excellent communication skills: You can translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
