Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Role summary:

The Senior Manager, Automation Engineering plays a critical role in shaping the future of Walmart's eCommerce fulfillment network. This is a design & deployment focused role that blends strategy, engineering, and execution-driving how facilities evolve into next-generation automated environments supporting same-day and next-day delivery capabilities. You will lead automation initiatives using Walmart's proprietary fulfillment solutions while developing long-term strategies to improve performance across the network.

This is a high visibility role with end-to-end ownership across the project lifecycle. This is an ideal role for someone who can thrive with ambiguity, can influence cross functional teams and able to bring teams together.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee project management activities ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain process flow diagrams and technical documentation to support automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain and robotics to optimize system integration.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other engineering tools to support design and execution of automation projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven expertise in automation engineering with strong knowledge of robotics and process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop process flow diagrams to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Experience managing complex projects within supply chain or manufacturing environments, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design tools to support automation system development.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive operational excellence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles applied to engineering initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
