What you'll do...
Role summary:

Walmart is seeking a Principal, Technology Operations to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of systems, automation, reporting, and product requirements for Cross Border Selection Strategy & Assortment. This role involves managing technology roadmaps, identifying architecture gaps, and partnering with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, Legal, and business teams to enable scalable, compliant operations. The successful candidate will apply program and product management expertise, including AI/ML-enabled automation, to define KPI reporting needs, develop PRDs, monitor performance metrics, reduce manual work, and drive operational efficiency while supporting company policies and standards.
What you'll do:
  • Lead systems, automation, reporting, and product requirement initiatives for Cross Border Selection Strategy & Assortment.
  • Define and manage technology roadmaps to scale selection processes across markets and source models.
  • Drive AI/ML-enabled automation for selection lists, gap lists, launch lists, and in-demand lists.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, Legal, and business teams to resolve architecture gaps and improve data flows.
  • Define KPI reporting needs, dashboard requirements, performance metrics, and success measures.
  • Develop BRDs and translate business, compliance, and operational needs into technology priorities.
  • Reduce manual work and improve scalability.


What you'll bring:
  • Experience in cross-border commerce, selection strategy, assortment planning, compliance, or related marketplace operations.
  • Strong ability to work with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Legal teams to translate business and regulatory needs into PRDs and system requirements.
  • Proficiency with AI/ML-enabled automation, data products, reporting tools, and KPI dashboard development.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify architecture gaps, improve data flows, and measure operational impact.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders through clear communication, data-driven recommendations, and prioritization.
  • Experience driving process improvements that reduce manual work, improve scalability, and support compliant operations.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
