Position Summary...
As a Data Engineer III on Walmart's User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) team, you will design and build scalable data pipelines that transform disparate data sources into actionable detections. You will develop data flows, risk scoring models, and behavioral detections that strengthen data loss prevention (DLP), insider threat, and threat actor detection capabilities. Partnering closely with data scientists, detection engineers, analysts, and other InfoSec teams, you will deliver trusted, governed data assets that enable automation, AI-driven analytics, and high-fidelity detections, helping protect Walmart's customers, associates, and global technology environment.

What you'll do...
As a Data Engineer III on Walmart's User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) team, you will transform enterprise data into actionable detections that protects millions of customers, associates, and business operations worldwide. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines that ingest, enrich, and transform data from various security and enterprise sources into high-fidelity detections for threat actors, insider risk, and data loss prevention (DLP). Working closely with data scientists, detection engineers, analysts, and cybersecurity partners, you will engineer reliable, production-grade data assets that enable faster detection, higher confidence alerting, and more effective response to emerging threats.

What you'll bring:

Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver trusted data for analytics, automation, or machine learning. Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases, with experience developing efficient data models, documenting data lineage, and optimizing large-scale datasets. Familiarity with ETL frameworks, workflow orchestration, and cloud or big data platforms. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems, identify root causes, and communicate solutions effectively across technical and business teams. A self-starter with a passion for automation, innovation, and leveraging data to build high-impact cybersecurity capabilities that protect customers and the business.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
