US MINING PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of industrial dust collection projects, with a primary focus on mining applications including crushing, material handling, conveying, and processing operations. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer specifications, safety standards, and company objectives. The Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination between engineering, manufacturing, field service, and the customer.

Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Manage multiple dust collection system projects from order intake through commissioning and closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Ensure alignment with contract scope, technical specifications, and commercial terms
  • Monitor project progress and proactively mitigate risks related to cost, schedule, and performance
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for mining clients, EPC firms, and engineering consultants for assigned region
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, status reviews, and progress reporting
  • Maintain strong relationships with key mining stakeholders to support future opportunities
Technical Coordination
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams to ensure system design meets application requirements
  • Review drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure dust collector systems are properly applied for mining environments
Procurement & Manufacturing Interface
  • Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure timely procurement and production
  • Coordinate with Quality Control at plant(s) to ensure all specifications are met
  • Track critical components and manage long-lead items
  • Support standardization initiatives (BOMs, system configurations, controls packages) to improve efficiency
Field Execution & Commissioning
  • Coordinate installation, startup, and commissioning activities with field service teams and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and mining regulations
  • Support troubleshooting and performance validation of installed systems
  • Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of project management experience in industrial equipment, process systems, or mining-related industries
  • Experience with dust collection, air pollution control, or bulk material handling systems preferred
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of industrial systems (fans, filtration, ductwork, controls)
  • Familiarity with mining operations and applications (crushing, conveying, transfer points, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Project Management Skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Unyielding attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and project management tools
Other Requirements
  • Willingness to travel to mining sites and customer locations (up to 60%)
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance in industrial environments
  • Valid driver's license required

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
