Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious individual to join our Economics Research team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about macroeconomics, markets, and applying rigorous analysis to improve portfolio management and client outcomes.

As an economist, you will:
  • Model and Analyze Economic Trends
    Apply structured, analytical thinking to build and refine models that capture the implications of economic developments.
  • Monitor Global Developments
    Stay ahead of market-moving events by proactively tracking economic, market, and political developments in key regions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams
    Work closely with researchers within the Capital Markets team and across the broader Investment Strategy Group to translate economic insights into actionable investment intelligence.
  • Leverage Technical Skills
    Use analytical tools and programming languages to support data analysis and model development.


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research on global economic, market and political developments.
  • Build and maintain quantitative models focused on key macroeconomic indicators.
  • Produce high-quality research reports for senior investment leaders, portfolio management teams and Vanguard clients.
  • Represent research and viewpoints to portfolio management teams, internal stakeholders and Vanguard clients.

Qualifications:
