Hartford HealthCare is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our specialized Urology and Pelvic Health team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a physician specializing in Female Urology, Urogynecology, Voiding Dysfunction, and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery while providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of pelvic floor and genitourinary conditions.
The APP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients in the outpatient setting and work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Opportunities for operating room first assisting may also be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial consultations and follow-up visits for patients with urologic and urogynecologic conditions.
- Evaluate and manage patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, pelvic floor disorders, neurogenic bladder, urethral stricture disease, chronic pelvic pain, chronic cystitis, and sexual dysfunction.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and ongoing management.
- Provide patient counseling, education, and triage for acute concerns.
- Perform and interpret urodynamic testing.
- Perform urethral catheterization and provide patient education and training.
- Conduct pelvic floor muscle assessments and pelvic organ prolapse evaluations.
- Participate in advanced therapies including pessary fitting, sacral neuromodulation, and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS).
- Collaborate with Urologists, Urogynecologists, Colorectal Surgeons, and fellow APPs to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in research, clinical trials, and educational activities in collaboration with physicians, as appropriate.
- Promote patient and community education regarding pelvic floor health and wellness.

Qualifications:Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Master's Degree in Nursing required for Nurse Practitioners.
- Active Connecticut APRN or PA license (or eligibility for licensure).
- DEA registration required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Prior experience in Urology or Urogynecology preferred.
- Strong communication, patient education, and clinical assessment skills.
