About the Role

Stopwatch Urgent Care is hiring a full-time, experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Phenix City clinic. Phenix City is located on the Alabama-Georgia border across from Columbus, GA, offering affordable living with access to a larger metro area.

What to expect: a rotating 3-4 schedule (three shifts one week, four the next), competitive compensation, no on-call, and a benefits package recognized as a Top 10 program nationally among private urgent care organizations.

You will be the provider on shift, managing acute and episodic care independently in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You are supported by established clinical protocols, a dedicated clinic support team, and direct access to clinical leadership and network resources. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation designed to set you up for success from day one.

Clinical Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions. Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in-house labs and imaging.

Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health. Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record, with same-day chart completion. Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience.

Practice Environment

Average patient volume of 3-4 patients per hour, supporting thorough evaluation, quality care, and complete documentation. Clinical leadership and network resources are accessible when needed.

Fully equipped clinics with on-site diagnostics and Experity EMR. Established workflows and clinical protocols to support efficient, high-quality care delivery.

Schedule

  • Full-time, rotating 3-4 schedule (three shifts one week, four the next)
  • Rotating weekends
  • No on-call requirements
  • Schedules are published in advance via a self-scheduling system
  • Additional shifts are easily available via the scheduling app with time-and-a-half pay after 40 hours per week


Compensation

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and credentials. Productivity incentives are available above base compensation. Signing and relocation bonuses may be offered based on clinic location and operational need.
