What you'll do:- Lead the planning and development of well programs tailored to unconventional resource plays.
- Analyze geological data to inform drill path design and reservoir understanding.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and safe well execution.
- Utilize advanced geological modeling tools to optimize well placement and performance.
- Provide technical expertise from initial exploration through to well completion.
You bring:- Strong skills in geological interpretation, data analysis, and well planning for unconventional plays.
- Proficiency in geological software and modeling tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with engineering and operations teams.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bonus points if you have:- Experience with horizontal drilling, hydraulic fracturing, or multi-stage completions.
- Knowledge of geosteering and real-time well monitoring.
- Certifications related to geological or petrophysical analysis.
- Previous experience in upstream oil and gas settings focused on unconventional reservoirs.
Ideal candidates will have:- A bachelor's degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Several years of experience in well planning and geological analysis, specifically within unconventional resource plays.
Additional Requirements:- Willingness to travel as needed to support field operations.
- Valid certifications and licenses pertinent to geology and well planning.
- Ability to work scheduled hours Monday through Friday, with potential for extended hours based on project needs.
