OverviewHRchitect is seeking experienced, passionate UKG professionals to join our growing consulting team. As a UKG Pro Implementation Consultant, you will support and deliver client implementations by configuring, testing, and validating UKG Pro solutions with a strong emphasis on People Center and Pay business rules and system configuration. This role requires solution expertise, attention to detail, and a consultative approach to supporting clients through complex HR and payroll system decisions. This is a full-time, remote position (40 hours per week).
Responsibilities
Implementation, Payroll & HR Configuration
- Configure UKG Pro modules with a strong focus on Payroll, Core HR, and related processes.
- Translate client payroll and HR requirements into accurate system configuration aligned with UKG and HRchitect best practices.
- Support configuration of earnings, deductions, taxes, pay groups, pay calendars, workflows, security roles, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Understand and apply HR compliance, payroll controls, and audit considerations within system configuration.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in configuration to support clean data conversion and payroll processing.
Testing & Validation
- Support payroll unit testing, parallel testing, and validation activities.
- Review payroll test results, assist in troubleshooting discrepancies, and support resolution efforts.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for Payroll and HR modules.
- Assist with data validation and reconciliation efforts to ensure payroll and HR data integrity.
Client Engagement & Support
- Participate in discovery sessions and working meetings focused on payroll and HR requirements.
- Clearly explain payroll calculations, HR workflows, and system behavior to client stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on UKG Pro capabilities, limitations, and best-practice recommendations.
- Build strong, professional relationships through consistent and responsive communication.
Project Collaboration & Scope Awareness
- Partner with Project Managers and senior consultants to support project planning and delivery.
- Track assigned work and hours in alignment with project plans and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Proactively communicate scope questions, payroll risks, or timeline concerns to the Project Manager or Oversight resource.
- Support deployment and go-live readiness activities.
Professional Development & Team Contribution
- Continue to expand Payroll and HR domain knowledge within UKG Pro.
- Demonstrate consistency in responsiveness, accountability, and delivery quality.
- Contribute to internal initiatives and external thought leadership, including the HRchitect Tech Trends Blog.
Project Delivery, Utilization & Quality
- Deliver high-quality implementation work efficiently and in alignment with approved project plans and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Demonstrate effective utilization by balancing billable contributions with strong delivery outcomes, configuration accuracy, and client satisfaction.
- Manage assigned work to support on-time delivery while minimizing rework and downstream impacts.
- Accurately track time and effort in accordance with HRchitect standards and project requirements.
- Proactively communicate scope questions, delivery risks, or effort variances to support proactive project management.
- Apply sound judgment to prioritize work in a way that supports both project success and overall practice health.
Professional Accountability & Performance Expectations
- Maintain a consistent level of billable contribution aligned with role expectations and project assignments.
- Demonstrate that utilization is achieved through efficient, high-quality delivery rather than rework or over-allocation.
- Balance speed and accuracy to ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and sustainable post–go-live.
- Participate in ongoing feedback and performance discussions related to delivery effectiveness, utilization, and quality outcomes.
- Maintain targeted billable utilization by actively contributing to client engagements, managing workload effectively, and supporting overall services delivery goals.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous hands-on experience with UKG Pro.
- 3+ years of experience in a SaaS or consulting environment.
- Working knowledge of Payroll and Core HR business processes.
- Experience supporting payroll testing, validation, or parallel payroll activities.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven record of configuration accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, including comfort leading or participating in video-based client meetings.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with delivery teams.
- Ability to work remotely from a home office within North America.
Preferred
- Current Certifications in UKG Pro Payroll and/or Core HR modules.
- Exposure to benefits, time management, or talent modules.
- Payroll or HR certifications (FPC, CPP, HRIP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, PMP).
- Experience supporting multi-module or enterprise implementations.
