What You’ll Get to Do

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable UAS Integration Specialist to support the development, integration, testing, and refinement of advanced unmanned aircraft systems and associated subsystems and support equipment.

The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and technical leads to translate evolving designs and engineering concepts into fully functional systems. This position requires critical thinking, initiative, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges across mechanical, electrical, and avionics domains. Contributions in this role will directly impact system reliability, mission effectiveness, and overall program success.

 

More About the Role

Support the integration, modification, and refinement of fixed-wing and multi-rotor UAS platforms and associated subsystems.

Collaborate closely with engineering personnel to interpret evolving designs, resolve integration challenges, and implement technical solutions during prototype and production activities.

Perform mechanical and electrical integration of avionics, propulsion systems, payloads, telemetry equipment, and control systems at both subsystem and system levels.

Troubleshoot complex integration and configuration issues involving mechanical and electrical interfaces.

Read, interpret, and provide feedback on engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, technical schematics, and assembly documentation.

Support ground testing, system validation, and flight readiness efforts to ensure performance, reliability, and configuration compliance.

Document technical findings, integration activities, test results, configuration changes, and recommended corrective actions.

Assist with process development, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives related to system integration and fabrication activities.

Operate effectively in dynamic development environments where technical requirements and documentation may evolve throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, configuration management practices, and organizational quality standards.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

Citizenship: U.S. Citizen Required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Hands-on experience supporting the integration, fabrication, troubleshooting, or sustainment of complex electromechanical systems.
Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems and adapt to changing system requirements in a prototype or development-focused environment.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
Experience integrating, configuring, or troubleshooting UAS-related hardware and software systems, including ArduPilot, Pixhawk, or similar architectures.
Ability to communicate technical information effectively and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering, test, and production teams.
Ability to work both independently or in a team and with minimal oversight, supporting highly collaborative technical efforts.

 

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

Experience working with composite materials, including carbon fiber and fiberglass, in manufacturing or prototype environments.
Experience integrating telemetry systems, RF communications equipment, sensors, and payload systems.
Experience troubleshooting or integrating small internal combustion propulsion systems.
Familiarity with Ground Control Systems (GCS), mission planning software, and flight readiness procedures.
Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government development programs.
Active Secret or higher security clearance.
