Job Description & SummaryA career in our International Tax Desk practice, within International Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help multinational companies address their cross border tax needs both locally and globally by managing their global tax rates, finding areas of cost reduction, and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities. You'll gain a global perspective and an awareness of tax issues stemming from changes to evolving business structures and geographic expansions.
Our team advises our clients on tax laws and reporting, legislation and planning strategies based on the geography and jurisdiction. You'll be assisting our team with local tax laws, reporting requirements, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing and indirect tax and other international taxation needs.
The OpportunityAs a U.S. Tax Senior Manager in the US Global Structuring practice, you lead complex financial analyses covering corporate M&A, private equity, tax modelling, and post-deal integration, etc. As a Senior Manager you will drive operational excellence and process innovation across various projects while serving as the primary senior-level point of contact for clients. You are also responsible for building trust with multi-level teams and stakeholders, motivating and coaching teams to solve complex problems, and . Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Help multinational companies address their cross border tax needs both locally and globally by managing their global tax rates, identifying cost optimization opportunities, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Advise our clients on tax laws and reporting requirements, legislation and planning strategies based on the geography and jurisdiction, evaluating business impacts and developing strategic recommendations to support regulatory compliance and business objectives.
- Lead complex financial analyses and provide strategic recommendations to support business transformation consulting engagements covering corporate M&A, private equity, tax modelling, and post-deal integration, etc.
- Advising clients on local tax laws, reporting and statutory filing requirements, corporate strategy, transfer pricing and indirect tax and other international taxation matters, to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead major projects through proactive communication, hands-on stakeholder management, and enhance existing practices by providing strategic guidance to support operational improvements and business integration initiatives.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to assess business needs, support strategic initiatives and drive exceptional client outcomes.
- Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarizing key points.
- Advising our clients on their US M&A tax needs ranging from due diligence, structuring, legal documents review, tax modelling, post-acquisition integration strategies, divestiture planning, etc , providing strategic recommendations to support organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and compliances.
- Advising our clients on other complex advisory matters including but not limited to reorganizations, loss limitation rules, earnings stripping, etc.
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues including Federal and state income tax changes and their impact on your client operations, business objectives, and overall strategy.
- Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.
- Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen.
- Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand.
What you'll bring - US Tax consulting and transaction structuring experience.
- Experience on due diligence and interpreting complex legislative and regulatory actions relating to corporate and partnership transactions, assisting clients with regulatory and legislative initiatives.
- Experience working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients.
- US CPA or Canadian CPA or other relevant professional designation.
- Completion of Masters of US Taxation is considered an asset.
- Experience with US domestic and international tax issues including tax research.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong writing skills in connection with drafting tax memos, opinions, etc.
- The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during their employment with PwC Canada.

The salary range for this position is $133,100 - $183,100. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
