Full Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Administers assigned accounts in accordance with fiduciary responsibilities as trustee and policy policies and procedures.
  • Possesses technical fiduciary knowledge in the areas of law, tax, fiduciary investing, regulation, compliance as well as estate planning.
  • Interprets the governing instrument and applicable law to establish account records.
  • Summarizes pertinent provisions of trust documents.
  • Communicates with beneficiaries and co-fiduciaries to outline administrative procedures.
  • Maintains contact with clients and advisors to discuss terms and specifications of the will and/or trust.
  • Responds to client and advisor issues and anticipate needs.
  • Prepares for and participates in client meetings with the Advisor.
  • Responds to requests from beneficiaries for discretionary distributions; and presents such requests to key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for knowing the clients extended family and younger generations, when appropriate, to build deep multigenerational relationships.
  • Builds relationships and expands referral network with centers of influence to grow connection to region and develop more referral sources.
  • Acts as liaison with key stakeholders - clients, advisor, attorney, accountant, and other professionals, as required.
  • Completes trust administrative reviews, based upon established review schedule.
  • Reviews fiduciary income tax returns and tax estimates for assigned accounts.
  • Reviews account, identifies potential issues and present to key stakeholders.


Qualifications & Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience required.
  • JD or Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) or Certified Estate and Trust Specialist (CES) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Salesforce.
  • Possess 6+ years of directly related experience in Personal Trust administration.
  • Extensive experience in estate planning and wealth management.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to work with custodial platforms, including Schwab and Fidelity.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Pay Information

This position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of Maine. The pay range for this position is $110,000- 165,000 USD per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

Physical Requirements
  • This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.   • This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.
