Trust Officer I, (TO I), Private Bank - Trust Officer I (TO I) is a hybrid role that combines direct responsibility for an assigned book of fiduciary accounts with support for larger and more complex client relationships led by Trust Officers IIs and Senior Trust Officers. As an entry-level fiduciary officer position, the TO I serves as the primary officer on assigned accounts while participating in the administration of more complex fiduciary relationships as part of a broader fiduciary team. In this capacity, the TO I collaborates with Merrill Advisors and internal partners, including the Office of Chief Fiduciary, Wealth Strategy, Estate Settlement Services, Portfolio Oversight Group, Tax Services, Operations, and other specialists. The TO I assists in identifying client needs, coordinating trust administration activities, and supporting the delivery of fiduciary products and services.
Job Description:- Engage in fiduciary oversight activities, proactively identify issues, and coordinate trust administrative matters by partnering with internal groups including the Office of Chief Fiduciary, Wealth Strategies Group, Portfolio Oversight Group, Tax Services, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with the Market Trust Director, Trust Officers, Senior Trust Officers, and Trust Senior Associates to deliver a high level of service and responsiveness to Merrill advisors and clients while executing fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with Bank of America policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Develop an understanding of clients' circumstances, family dynamics, estate plans, and fiduciary objectives in order to support effective account administration and client service.
- Liaise with clients' attorneys, accountants, and other professional advisors to support estate planning and trust administration activities, facilitate information gathering, and coordinate implementation of fiduciary decisions.
- Participate in client and advisor meetings to review existing client relationships and evaluate prospective fiduciary appointments, including reviewing governing documents to assess Bank of America's ability to serve as a future fiduciary.
Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in trust administration, servicing and managing fiduciary relationships with high net worth clients (or equivalent) required.
- Familiarity with fiduciary law, trust and estate administration, fiduciary taxation, investment concepts, and banking operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and administrative responsibilities.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- BS/BA, CTFA designation, Paralegal certification, JD, or other fiduciary-related credential is a plus, but not required.
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent

Pay range
$84,300.00 - $123,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
