Position Overview

The experienced Construction Superintendent will report to the Sr. Field Manager and coordinate and oversee all on-site construction activities. Serving as the project site conductor, the Superintendent is responsible for orchestrating every phase of the build, ensuring teams, trades, vendors, and schedules are aligned for seamless execution. This role is critical in managing subcontractors, vendors, inspections, materials, and overall site safety to ensure that high-quality, on-time, and within-budget delivery is achieved on commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, ensuring specifications and quality standards are strictly followed.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and activities of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors.
  • Monitor and inspect work and materials for compliance with quality and safety regulations.
  • Review and interpret construction plans across multiple trades, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural; and adjust field execution as needed to meet planned schedules of completion.
  • Maintain job site documentation, including daily logs, job site photos, visitor tracking, and material usage.
  • Ensure job site cleanliness, organization, and compliance with environmental standards.
  • Identify and communicate construction progress issues or scope conflicts to the project team.
  • Track and manage punch lists and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies.
  • Submit weekly credit card receipts, invoices, and other documentation to the project manager.
  • Travel between multiple job sites and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Additional Duties

  • Conduct safety meetings and support jobsite safety compliance.
  • Act as liaison between subcontractors and the project management team.
  • Assist in identifying work outside of subcontractor scope and report it to management.
  • Open and secure the jobsite each day and ensure its properly maintained.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate construction teams on multi-site projects.
  • Minimum OSHA 10 certification (current); heavy equipment certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and construction processes.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply construction plans by trade (electrical, mechanical, structural and plumbing) and make real-time adjustments in the field.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface professionally with clients, vendors, and state/city officials.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, RFIs, and ASIs.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs.


Physical Requirements

  • Physical capability to lift, move, and position heavy fixtures and equipment (at least 50 pounds unassisted).
  • Stamina stand, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, climb ladders and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.


Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required by project assignments, including ability to be on site for consecutive weeks/months as required.
  • Active Driver's License (Real ID)
  • Smartphone in good working condition with hands-free capability.
