LOCATION: This is a nationwide traveling position requiring frequent travel to project sites across the United States. Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 + per diem ABOUT THE JOB The Tepa Companies are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee field operations on federal construction projects involving Department of Defense (DoD) fuel systems and industrial infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements and quality standards. The Site Superintendent leads field personnel, coordinates subcontractors, manages daily construction activities, and serves as the primary on-site representative for project execution. Depending on project requirements and individual qualifications, this position may also serve as the designated: 3 Quality Control Manager (QCM) 3 Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) Job Functions: Site Leadership and Construction Management 3 Manage all daily construction activities from project mobilization through closeout. 3 Supervise craft personnel, subcontractors, and field staff to achieve project objectives. 3 Coordinate and schedule field activities while maintaining project milestones. 3 Maintain project documentation including daily reports, field logs, schedules, and progress updates. 3 Review plans, specifications, submittals, and contract requirements to ensure compliance. 3 Monitor project budgets and provide rough-order cost estimates for field changes. 3 Coordinate with Project Managers, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and other internal teams. 3 Serve as the primary field liaison with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. 3 Attend project meetings, in-briefs, and out-briefs. 3 Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain safety, quality, and schedule. 3 Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or quality deficiencies exist. Quality Control Responsibilities (When Assigned as QCM) 3 Implement and manage the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control Process. 3 Perform preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections. 3 Maintain QC reports, deficiency logs, testing documentation, and submittal tracking. 3 Ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and the Industrial Services Quality Manual. 3 Verify all required plans and specifications are available during inspections. 3 Coordinate quality-related activities with project teams and clients. Safety Responsibilities (When Assigned as SSHO) 3 Administer the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and Health & Safety Plan. 3 Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and USACE EM 385-1-1 requirements. 3 Conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and site audits. 3 Manage work permits including confined space, hot work, excavation, and other required permits. 3 Verify required safety certifications for employees and subcontractors. 3 Document competent persons for applicable work activities. 3 Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents and implement corrective actions. 3 Submit required safety reports and documentation. 3 Promote a proactive safety culture across all project activities. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 3 High School Diploma or GED. 3 Minimum 5 years of field management experience on DoD construction projects involving fuel systems. 3 Minimum 5 years serving as a DoD Construction Quality Control Manager. 3 Minimum 5 years serving as a DoD Construction Site Safety and Health Officer. 3 Experience using the USACE Resident Management System (RMS). 3 OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification (within the past five years). 3 Current First Aid/CPR certification. 3 Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. 3 Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. 3 Strong written and verbal communication skills. 3 Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States. 3 Ability to pass a drug screen and back ground check in compliance with federal regulation. Preferred Certifications 3 USACE or NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification (current within the last five years). 3 OSHA 500 Trainer. 3 API 570 Piping Inspector Certification. 3 API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector Certification. 3 NACE Level I Coating Inspector Certification. 3 Steel Tank Institute (STI) Tank Systems Inspector Certification. 3 40-Hour HAZWOPER with current annual refresher. 3 24-Hour Fall Protection Competent Person Certification. 3 Annual EM 385-1-1 continuing education (8 hours).
