Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional construction certifications preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent.
• Working knowledge of FAA, USACE, NAVFAC, and various state DOT specifications.
• Strong organizational skills to manage diverse tasks effectively.
• Ability to build positive relationships with owners, project engineers, and local government offices.
• Experience managing union workforces.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with employees, vendors, and contractors.
• Willingness to attain necessary project-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations on construction sites for paving projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Lead the construction effort while adhering to design, quality, and schedule.
• Direct and support onsite foreman and make informed onsite decisions.
• Communicate project plans and directives clearly to team members.
• Coordinate resource allocation and develop a successful project strategy.
• Collaborate with the project manager to create and maintain a work schedule.
