Travel Specialist
The Opportunity:
As a Travel Specialist, you will execute the program's plan, processes, and activities for contract travel on behalf of the government. You'll coordinate travel activities with program leaders, initiating quality, security, risk, and cost controls to maximize compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). You'll support a Program Management Office's geographically dispersed team with significant CONUS and OCONUS travel requirements. You'll work with program leadership, project leads, and a team of travelers to support overall travel requirements, including Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), Trip Reports (TRs), travel expense reporting, and overall quality management. You'll also train, mentor, and advise program personnel on travel processes, activities, and business rules, providing resources such as standard operating procedures and training guides.
On our team, you will work with program leadership, project leads, and multiple stakeholders to implement travel processes and tools and identify and recommend ways to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
You Have:
• Experience with the Department of War, Intelligence Community, or FEDSIM programs
• Experience submitting and reviewing TARs, TRs, and expense reports
• Experience capturing, tracking, analyzing, and reporting travel data
• Experience working with the JTR and compliance with travel regulations
• Experience documenting processes and procedures, and identifying improvements
• Experience collaborating and developing effective working relationships with various teams
• Ability to perform tasks that require strict attention to detail and effective time management
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, and work in a deadline-driven environment
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
• Experience with travel management and booking systems
• Experience working with International Trade Compliance
• Knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations and processes to comply with regulations
• Ability to recommend solutions for process improvements
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with multiple stakeholders
• Possession of excellent organizational and task management skills
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
