Qualifications

• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Active professional RN license in state of practice
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• WOCN certification is recommended, may be required
• Other specialty certifications preferred
• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in a Med-Surg hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage wounds, ensuring optimal healing conditions
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
• Educate patients and families on wound care techniques
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans
• Document patient care and outcomes in medical records
• Participate in wound care-related quality improvement initiatives
• Provide guidance and support to junior nursing staff
