Qualifications

• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid professional nursing license in the state of practice
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) credential recommended
• Additional specialty-related certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse
• Experience in oncology nursing within a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Administer specialized patient care for those preparing or recovering from bone marrow transplants
• Manage and administer medications for immunosuppressed patients
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatments
• Monitor patient vitals and response to therapies
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
