How you make a differenceThe Travel Mental Health Professional provides clinical services across multiple locations under the guidance of supervisory staff. Responsibilities include delivering individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and psychological assessments in correctional settings. The role involves documenting clinical interactions, creating service reports, and consulting with institutional staff. Additional duties include diagnostic evaluations, participation in quality improvement, and providing mental health training. Frequent travel is required to meet organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver clinical services including therapy, crisis intervention, and assessments
- Complete clinical documentation, service reports, and treatment evaluations
- Consult with staff and support mental health management of persons served
- Participate in program development, training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Travel 100% to provide services across multiple facilities
Additional DetailsThis is a travel position and will require going to multiple sites in our Eastern region. The region will be FL (when needed), GA, NC, SC, TN, VA.
MUST be Independently licensed in North Carolina and MUST have corrections experience.
This position is 95% travel and 40 hours weekly. You have the option to work 4(10 hour) days or 5 (8 hour) days per week.
Pay is $55/hr. Compensation for mileage (to and from your home), meals and hotel lodging are the incentives.
Qualifications & RequirementsEDUCATION
- Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university
EXPERIENCE
- Coursework and professional experience in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, diagnosis, and psychological assessment
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 100% of the time
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- LMSW, LPC, or similar licensure from the appropriate state licensing board
- Must maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required
