Full Job Description
Transportation Traffic & Safety Specialist

The position will represent the organization before regional and local government bodies, transportation agencies and community and business groups to help achieve transportation public policy objectives. The position will develop and maintain relationships with transportation and safety experts, agency personnel, interest groups and others as appropriate to stay informed and engaged, be recognized as an expert in transportation and traffic safety funding, project development and other subject matters of interest and concern to members and influential in the forums in which the Club wishes to engage.

Responsibilities

Mastering traffic safety topics and educational programs; effectively teaching and presenting traffic safety information to various audiences; preparing for, setting-up, and staffing traffic safety classes, community programs, and other events; frequent telephone and digital communication with Auto Club members and others, including the public; developing and distributing traffic safety and community brochures and other materials; developing relationships and working productively with educational, community, elected official, and law enforcement partners; and preparing educational articles, brochures, and traffic safety content for internal and external audiences. Representing the organization at numerous small and large community events. Administrative duties as it pertains to traffic safety classes and community events, including website and database management, materials fulfillment, transporting materials and equipment, and setting up at indoor and outdoor events.

Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree in public health, education, public policy, public relations, community relations, marketing, or similar discipline.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in directly related areas.
  • Experience in teaching, dynamic public speaking, event planning, educational materials production and distribution, educational program planning, implementation and curriculum development, and community and media
  • Advanced ability to successfully develop and implement initiatives and programs.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed for scheduled events
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and specialized hardware and software necessary for technical tasks.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • Provide proof of automobile liability insurance at time of hire

The starting pay range for this position is:

$92,600.00 - $123,600.00
Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
