MBP is seeking a Service Line Manager to lead our growing team in Williamsburg, VA. If you're an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a proven track record managing VDOT and local contracts, and enjoys leading diverse teams, we want to hear from you.

 

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

As a Service Line Manager, you'll oversee the delivery of MBP’s services in Southeast Virginia, managing road and bridge projects from start to finish. You’ll be responsible for business development, proposal creation, contracting, and assisting with recruiting. You’ll collaborate with other leaders in the company to ensure the service line runs efficiently and meets MBP’s high standards.

 

In addition, you’ll manage budgets, schedules, and forecasts while identifying the tools and processes needed to keep operations running smoothly. You'll also support corporate initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Qualifications

Education/Knowledge: A B.S. in an industry-related field is required, with preference for an advanced degree. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Virginia or ability to obtain PE within six months is preferred. Experience in construction management and project controls, particularly with VDOT, is a key strength.

 

Experience: Extensive construction management experience, especially managing contracts for construction engineering and inspection on road and bridge projects, with a focus on VDOT and/or localities is required. Experience with other heavy civil, rail, or airport clients is a plus but is not required.

 

Skills and Abilities: Proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse teams, delivering results from start to finish. Expertise in project management, including budgeting, leadership, and business development.

 The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $195,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
