What Your Day Will Look Like:
The Transportation Project Manager will lead the delivery of roadway projects from conceptual design through preliminary, intermediate, and final design phases to construction. You`ll manage a team of engineers and designers in all aspects of design and plan preparation for roadway, highway, and civil improvement projects for State, City, and County agencies.
What You'll Do:
• Plan, direct and manage transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of multi-disciplinary transportation planning projects across the region.• Provide superior client service through quality management, technical excellence, responsiveness, and production management of design plans and specifications, reports and analyses • Prepare scope, schedule, and budgets for projects and task orders• Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem-solving abilities• Oversee the planning and design for roadway, Bridge and traffic engineering projects• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes• Assist in business development and proposal efforts with local municipal, state, and private clients
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences or a closely related field
- 8 years of experience in transportation project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex roadway/highway projects
- Understands transportation design software, including OpenRoads and MicroStation
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience in client-facing roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
