Assistant Transit Management Analyst I

POSITON SUMMARY:

This position plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operations by overseeing communications, coordinating calendars and meetings, maintaining both electronic and physical records, and preparing accurate and timely documents. The role also assists with budgeting, procurement processes, and departmental project activities. Additionally, this position provides essential office support, including supply management and general administrative assistance. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities, as well as proficiency in Office 365 and related digital tools. Prior administrative experience is strongly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor expenses and support division budget tracking.
  • Analyze UTS downloads and prepare TA Labor reports.
  • Review Work Programs and track overtime usage.
  • Perform FTE calculations and support hiring reviews and input.
  • Prepare budget requests, extend reimbursable headcount, and process funding and budget entries.
  • Conduct project reviews including Fan Plant, Force Accounts, Cost Verification analyses, job number requests, and utilization reviews.
  • Support capital project monitoring and operational planning.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and provide general administrative and data support for the Division Operations team.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Analyst I & II Qualification Requirements
  1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, or
  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration.

Associate Qualification Requirements
  1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration; or
  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in "1" above.


DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in VBA and SQL programming.
  • Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and related software.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior administrative experience preferred.

Final salary is determined experience, skillset, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
