Who we are looking for
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance, the MD Transformation Finance CFO is a senior finance executive accountable for ensuring enterprise transformation initiatives deliver measurable financial outcomes. The role provides independent governance over business cases, drives disciplined value realization, and translates strategy into clear, actionable financial targets. This leader enables executive decision-making through rigorous analysis, transparent reporting, and proactive risk management.
What you will be responsible for
Financial Governance & Value Realization
Own financial oversight of transformation initiatives, ensuring a clear linkage between strategy, business cases, and realized outcomes
Establish and enforce consistent valuation methodologies, assumptions, and tracking standards
Validate business cases and monitor delivery against committed benefits, milestones, and timelines
Strategic Target Setting & Resource Alignment
Partner with executive leadership to define transformation targets and associated financial outcomes
Guide resource allocation to ensure investments are aligned with the highest-value strategic priorities
Performance Tracking & Integration
Track and report value realization against commitments, including financial impact and timing
Ensure clear delineation of transformation-driven impact from baseline business performance
Integrate transformation commitments into financial plans, forecasts, and budgeting processes
Risk, Trend, and Opportunity Management
Identify forward-looking risks and opportunities through rigorous financial analysis
Recommend actions to mitigate risks, enhance performance, and capture upside opportunities
Anticipate emerging issues and drive timely, data-informed course corrections
Executive Insight & Decision Support
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
Provide transparency on progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs
Ensure alignment with enterprise reporting standards and governance frameworks

Senior finance leader with deep expertise in financial planning, performance management, and business case evaluation
Demonstrated track record of driving financial discipline within large-scale transformation environments
Strong analytical capability with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Proven ability to forecast outcomes, influence senior stakeholders, and drive performance accountability
Executive presence with clear, concise, and impactful communication skills
Leadership Characteristics
Outcome-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Commercially astute with sound, well-balanced judgment
Proactive in identifying, escalating, and resolving emerging issues

Additional Qualifications
Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
15+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, performance management, and business case evaluation within a large, complex financial institution
Demonstrated experience operating at scale within a GSIFI or similarly regulated global firm
Deep expertise in financial forecasting, governance, program management, and regulatory engagement
Strong competency in designing and sustaining robust production and control processes
Proven ability to engage credibly and effectively with Boards, regulators, and senior executives
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 Annual
