Full Job Description
About the Role

Wealth management is entering a structural transition in which private markets are increasingly expected to function inside managed and discretionary portfolio environments. Scaling private markets inside managed accounts depends on a network of transfer agents operating against a shared, rules-based standard for order processing and lifecycle servicing rather than bespoke, bilateral arrangements.

The industry has marketplaces for private markets. What it lacks is a commercial and operational transfer agent base built to support scalable, standardized infrastructure.

APL provides the managed account operating foundation. Altic provides the rules-based network and lifecycle coordination layer for private markets operations. Together, these capabilities are intended to create a scalable operating environment for public and private investing inside wealth management.

InvestCloud is seeking a senior partnerships leader to build and own the commercial transfer agent base that makes the Altic network function, with immediate focus on transfer agents and an expected expansion into other network participant types over time.

This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and commercially onboarding transfer agent partners onto the Altic network, and for owning those relationships on an ongoing basis through:
  • Transfer agent identification and pipeline prioritisation
  • Commercial structuring and negotiation
  • Contracting coordination with Legal
  • Ongoing relationship management
  • Cross-functional handoff into Product and Engineering

The role sits at the intersection of:
  • Transfer agent business development
  • Commercial negotiation
  • Relationship management
  • Network operations
  • Cross-functional coordination

This is not a traditional business development role. The position is responsible for building the commercial transfer agent infrastructure the Altic network depends on to scale.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

Key Responsibilities

Partner Identification & Pipeline
  • Lead ongoing market scanning of the transfer agent landscape relevant to Altic's product scope
  • Score and prioritise partners against a rubric tied to Altic's network importance
  • Use AI-native tools to keep pipeline scanning and scoring current
  • Maintain a visible, current partner pipeline for PMN Partnerships leadership

Commercial Structuring & Negotiation
  • Own commercial conversations with prospective transfer agent partners, including pricing and deal structure
  • Work directly with Legal to progress contracting through to signature
  • Balance Altic's network economics against partner-specific requirements to close terms

Relationship Management
  • Act as the named relationship owner for transfer agent partners across the full partner lifecycle
  • Run the ongoing relationship cadence covering performance, escalations, and commercial renewals
  • Represent partner requirements and constraints back into Altic's roadmap and commercial model

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Manage the handoff from signed commercial agreement into Product and Engineering integration scoping
  • Remain engaged through integration to provide partners a single, consistent point of contact
  • Escalate partner-side risks and blockers to the appropriate internal owner before they become issues

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in:
  • Sourcing, negotiating, and closing commercial partnerships with large financial-services counterparties
  • Working within US asset management, including direct exposure to transfer agents supporting registered semi-liquid fund structures
  • Owning commercial and operational relationships with large financial-services firms over multiple years, not single transactions
  • Structuring pricing and running contract negotiations directly, working alongside Legal
  • Using AI and modern research tools to support market scanning, pipeline scoring, and due diligence
  • Prior direct relationships with US transfer agent firms are beneficial but not required

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location. Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000. Benefits include medical/Rx, dental, vision, disability, and life/AD&D insurance plans, Flexible Savings Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), health advocacy, voluntary ancillary plans (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, legal, identity theft, auto/home, and pet insurance), 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, and paid time off.
