Full Job Description

Ecolab is looking for a strategic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Training Specialist with expertise in employee qualification, training program administration, and compliance management within cGMP-regulated organizations. This individual possesses exceptional communication skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a proven ability to drive organizational change while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

The Training Specialist adeptly partners with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate documentation and records, communicate complex requirements clearly, and deliver training solutions that enable workforce success. The Training Specialist is known for driving positive change, fostering accountability, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that support quality, compliance, and business objectives.

The King of Prussia Facility (KOP) manufactures pharmaceuticals and operates a cGMP-compliant facility. The Philadelphia facility manufactures industrial resins. This role is split between KOP and Philadelphia, approximately 60-70% in KOP and the rest of the time in Philadelphia.

Reports to: Site Quality Manager

What You Will Do:

Total Productive Maintenance:

  • Lead the Training and People Development (TPD) Pillar at KOP and Philadelphia

  • Present pillar progress in biweekly TPM Steering Committee meetings

  • Assign action items and track progress to the Master Plan

  • Partner with other pillars as needed to solve problems collaboratively

  • Create evidence decks for bronze, silver, and other TPM milestones

Training Facilitation:

  • Lead onboarding activities at the site: Schedule, performing classroom trainings, introduction to the facility, badge creation, signature log management

  • Maintain the Training Dashboard and monitor training completion; ensure daily training quota is not exceeded.

  • Report training metrics to leadership and staff e.g., OGSM Metrics

  • Lead offboarding activities at the site: Update signature log, revoke badge access, register termination date

  • Schedule and execute annual Quality trainings e.g., GMP, GDocP, Data Integrity

  • Participate in creating training for core TPM tools

Training Program Management:

  • Oversee the Training Module in ETQ (eQMS): Upload instruct-led records, assign training, create competency checks, create quizzes, manage curriculums, manage training groups. Training Specialist Location: Horizon Drive, King of Prussia, PA and Philadelphia, PA [G Street + I Street]

  • Lead quick, minor, major kaizens, root cause analyses (RCAs), and CAPAs involving the Training function; participate in cross-functional kaizens

  • Drive change and improvement to the training program following the GMP Change Control process

  • Assess change controls, RCAs, CAPAs from the training SME perspective Support site training documentation requests needed for audits, protocol verifications, RCAs, and CAPAs

  • Develop and maintain site training and skills matrices

  • Work with cross-functional team members to update functional area curricula, training groups, competency checks, on-the-job training, and onboarding checklists

Other:

  • Deploy training in Workday Learning, as needed

  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and town halls across the business

  • Manage external vendor portfolio, as applicable, to develop and introduce new training: assess trainings, vendor quality

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Training, Education, STEM, or related degree programs

  • 2 years experience in a training role

  • 2 years experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment

  • Experience using ETQ or similar eQMS

  • Proficiency with MS 365 programs and basic statistics

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work interpedently

  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, skills

  • A compliance mindset to ensure solutions meet strict cGMP requirements

  • Be approachable and empathetic so others feel comfortable asking questions Be comfortable splitting time between 2 locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience with Learning Management System (LMS) software Curriculum design experience

  • 3 years developing and delivering training, managing training programs and responsibilities typical of a manufacturing plant

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $74,700.00 - $112,200.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
